Do I have to be studying reproductive rights, period poverty, and/or gender rights in college to apply?

No, all are welcome to apply. Cora is looking for applicants who are passionate about these issues and want to make a greater impact. Applicants do not have to be majoring in these areas of study.
Do I have to upload a video?

Yes, each applicant has to upload one video answer in addition to the two written short answers. The video should be no longer than 2 minutes.
How do I upload my video answer to YouTube?

How long does my video answer need to be?

The video answer should be around 2 minutes long.
Can I save my application and come back to it?

Yes, your application will automatically save if you take a break and come back to it once you have entered your email address.
Do I have to provide a college ID and college email address?

Yes, Cora requires you to apply with your college email address and upload your college ID to verify your enrollment status.
Do I have to pay an application fee?

No, there is no fee to apply to the Cora Scholarship.

What can I do if I miss the application deadline?

Unfortunately, there is nothing you can do if you miss the application deadline. Please be sure to give yourself enough time to submit your application before the October 4th, 2024 deadline. Follow us on social to learn more about future scholarship opportunities.
How will I be notified about the status of my application?

You will be notified about the status of your application through the email address that you used to submit your application.
Who will the notifications be sent from?

The email notifications will be sent from Cora’s scholarship management team - scholarship@cora.life
When will I be notified if I am a scholarship recipient?
+
All three scholarship recipients will be notified on Thursday, October 10, 2024. Please see the above timeline for other important dates.
When will I receive the scholarship funds and when can I use it?

All three scholarship recipients will receive the funds in January 2025 and will be able to use them during the 2025 calendar year.
How will I receive the scholarship funds?

Cora will distribute $10,000 each to the three recipients directly through wire transfer.
Are there restrictions on what I can spend the scholarship funds on?
+
Yes, the funds from Cora’s “Change the Cycle” Scholarship are to be used for education expenses, including tuition, books, course-specific materials, and associated fees. Cora will request a receipt from each recipient that shows the funds were used for said education expenses.
How will the panelists decide who wins?

The panelists will review the applications based on a rubric that is rooted in Cora’s values of empowerment, education, inclusivity, access, and social impact. The rubric will include XXX. Cora wants to bring some comfort to these students who are helping their communities, ensuring they have the support they need to continue their vital work and succeed academically
Will the scholarship also include free Cora product?

Yes, in addition to the $10,000 each scholarship recipient will receive a free year supply of Cora products. Additionally, Cora will donate free period care to the three winners’ schools.
Will the winners be promoted on social media?

Yes, the three scholarship recipients will be announced on Cora’s social channels and will have the opportunity to create content about themselves for Cora’s social channels as well.
